3.4 My previous intitution does not provide official transcripts in English / German. What now?
Foreign transcripts must be in English or German. You will need to obtain a certified English / German translation of the document(s). Transcripts must be complete and word-by-word translation of the original document. Please upload your transcripts (originals) with their accompanying certified translations (when applicable).
3.5 How should I provide my Letters of Recommendation?
You will need to provide the email addresses of two different referees (academic sources). Please also indicate your relationship to each of them. We will send your referees a notification email with a link to the assessment page where they can upload their reference letter.
Please, make sure you obtain permission from the referees that you list, preferably before you list them, and inform them of the application deadline. The referees have one more week to send us their reference letters.
Note: at least one referee should not be a member of the Max Planck Gesellschaft.
3.6 What if one of my references does not provide a letter before the deadline?
Your application is considered complete if at least one of your referees has uploaded the reference letter.
Application without any reference letter will be classified as incomplete and therefore will not be considered.
