4. Costs and Selection Process

4.1 Do I have to pay a fee when I apply to Max Planck Graduate Center for Quantum Materials?
We do not charge any application fee.

4.2 How many students will be accepted per academic year?
Admission to the school is highly competitive. We will accept around 20 students in the academic year 2024-2025. 

4.3 When will I hear about my application?
Applicants will be notified by email about the decision of the selection committee. We expect to have made our decisions by the mid-January 2024. Candidates on the short-list will be invited for online interviews in February 2024. An aditional on-site or virtual visit will be organised for the selected candidates before a final decision is made.
